He was born Nov 1866 England, steam fitter, came to Canada in 1881. Wife Mary b Oct 1873 in Ireland, came to Canada in 1885. Married Mary Reid McNair, age 27, in Toronto, on 31 Dec 1901. Daughter Dorothy b. 1 Dec 1905. Dorothy died March 11, 1923 aged 19 years. Buried in Woodland Cemetery. They lived at 270 Briscoe Street in 1925.
