    Ruth Thompson of King City, Ontario, prepared a family tree for James Singer Thomson and e-mailed it on June 13, 2011.
    Robert Thomson was the father of William Thomson and the grandfather of James Singer Thomson. His birth date and birth place were not known. He married on March 17, 1816 in Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire, Scotland. His death date and death place were not known.
