- Tina's petition, as the daughter of a United Empire Loyalist, was stored in the National Archives [of Canada] Record Group 1, the Upper Canada Land Petitions, L 3, Volume 96, Bundle 8, 1806-1808.

- Her petition read "That your petitioner is the daughter of John Trumpour Sen. of the Township of Sophiasburgh a U.E. Loyalist, That she is married to Robert Curlett of Sophiasburgh and has never received any land or order of land from the Crown. Wherefore your Petitioner prays that your Excellency may be pleased to grant her two hundred acres of the waste lands of the Crown and permit Ebenezer Washburn Esquire or his lawful agent to locate the same and take out the Deed when completed. And your petitioner will ever pray. Sophiasburgh 29th Jan. 1807. Her Mark. Tina X Curlett".

- Tina signed (with an "X" mark) a sworn statement to Nicholas Lazier, that "she is the person, she dexcribes herself to be in the within petition that she is married to Robert Curlett and has never received any land or order for land from the Crown."
Then, Nicholas Lazier certified that Tina had signed the document.

The assertion in Tina's petition that her father, John Trumpour, was a U. E. Loyalist, was investigated - A person named J. Mantne [?] noted on the cover page of the petition that "The Name of John Trompeau appears on the UE List, ___ of the sames as stated within. Petitioner has had no land by Order in Council."
Another person, John W. Gill [some letters? below his signature} wrote "DUE".
