- "Another sister, Hannah, died when I was a child. I can just remember my father going to her funeral. She left two daughters, one of them turned Catholic, in her old days. Two daughters went with her but her son did not. Another daughter, 'That is Hannah's daughter,' was Mary, she first married a man called Hammond he did not live long then she married a man called Clifford. By him she had one son and two daughters. The son, Williams, was a ship carpenter. One daughter married John Huchings, a sail maker, the other married William Mann your grandfather. After Clifford's death she married Samuel Wilson, I was then a young child. I just remember it and it was just after her daughter married W. Mann. Her daughters were displeased with her for getting married the third time though I never knew it until old W. Mann told me."
