- The petition was apparently lost according to a petition made by her eldest son, John T. Hendricks. On September 2, 1839 he petitioned for land as the son of Betsey Hendricks, who was Elizabeth Trumpour, the daughter of Loyalist John Trumpour. In his petition he said that his mother had petitioned for land in about 1817, but had not received any reply. She had "departed this life a short time thereafter", before they realized that the petition had been lost. John asked that a grant of 200 acres of land be made in the name of the late Betsey Hendricks. The petition was recommended and forwarded [to the Land Board?] on October 18, 1839.
