    • The Wanamaker book says "John Redner 1815-1873 is listed as a Captain - of a ship I believe and he and Olive Doolittle are listed as living on Highland Ave. Belleville, Ontario. This JOhn Redner is said to have built the STEAM FERRY the first of its kind to run between Prince Edward and Belleville, but not 1st FERRY by any means from what is now Rossmore and Belleville, which had the first licence in 1802".
