He specified that he be buried in the churchyard at Renhold "as close to my father's remains as possible and let a headstone be erected to my memory". The sale of his property and effects was to provide for his wife, then at her death to be devided among his children, George, Leonard, Jesse, Peter, Amos, Alfred, Frederick, and Ann (wife of Charles Westley Wildman).
