Archibald McFaul, commissioner, in Wellington, witnessed the document of Elizabeth Trumpour on September 9, 1839. Also included was a document from John's father, James Hendricks, who described the original petition process, and that the petition was lost or mislaid. James described his son, John T. Hendricks, as Betsey's eldest surviving descendant. James' sworn statement was witnessed by J. N. Hurst, J. P. of the Home District, in Toronto, on September 3, 1839.
