The Wesleyan Methodists met in the schoolhouse which was at the north-west corner of Onondaga Street and Argyle Streets [Caledonia]. In 1848 Thomas Cosford, the Minister, was stationed in Seneca. The lost 13, 14, and 15 on the north-west corner of Tuscarora Street and Argyle Street were acquired and the manse was built there. The congregation met in the schoolhouse until 1844 when a church was built on land which the congregation had previously obtained on King William Street. The lot was 2 chains by 3 chains. There were burials there before the church was built. In 1878, the Wesleyan Methodist built a new church in Caledonia, which is now Grace United Church. The original church at Seneca was sold.
