The 3 brothers are said to have settled in the County of Down in the villages of Inch/Downpatrick, Kilmegan/Dundrum and Kilkeel respectively. A review of birth, baptism and marriage rrecords for the period 1790-1870 (the earliest ones available) for Curlett in Ireland shows three clusters of Curletts around those 3 locations during that period. The earliest records of a Curlett in Ireland [that] we have found to date are of 2 marriages in 1720 in the Inch/Downpatrict area.
