    He purchased this lot from Phillip Dorland of Adolphustown. The Bargain and Sale instrument was registered in Picton and copied to the Prince Edward County land registrar's books on January 6, 1819. This lot later became 'lot 11, concession 1 Lakeside, Hillier Township' when Hillier township was formed from part of Ameliasburgh township around 1824. Jonathan paid 105 pounds for this lot of 200 acres.
