He had 8 siblings: Judah Bowerman, Davis Bowerman, Silas Bowerman, Joseph Bowerman, Sarah Bowerman, Eliza Bowerman, Peace Bowerman, and Deborah Bowerman. Ichabod was born in the Bay Colony in 1721. He married Lydia Mott about 1744 and Jane Richmond in 1757. With his wife Lydia Mott, he had 6 children: Timothy Bowerman, Elizabeth Bowerman, David Bowerman, Jane Bowerman, Hannah Bowerman and Sarah Bowerman.
