Jonathan paid 105 pounds for this lot of 200 acres.

    According to "Pioneer Life on the Bay of Quinte", "The Farleys are of English descent. Sometime in the first half of the eighteenth century three brothers of this old English family, being imbued with the spirit of commercialism which had been awakened by the development of colonial trade in America, formed a syndiacte among themselves for the purpose of more expeditiously engaging in business. At least, if they were not adting together, they wer certainly in a position to do so to the great advantage of each."
