The book "Pioneer Life on the Bay of Quinte" page 131 gives the dates of birth and death as "1759" and "1847".

He donated land for the Quaker Cemetery in Bloomfield, on plan 2, lot 95. "In the year 1817 John Bull and Jonathan Bowerman donated land to the Society [Society of Friends or Quakers] for the purpose of constructing facilities to satisfy the needs for a rapidly growing congregation. The 'Brick Meeting House' was used by the Orthodox Friends, who continued to hold services there until 1942."
